Neurofeedback requires repeated treatments in order to be effective. In general, it is suggested that clients anticipate scheduling at least two appointments per week. A session is 30 to 40 minutes of neurofeedback and 10 minutes for set-up and clean up. Depending on the nature and severity of the problem, treatment can range from as few as 20 to as many as 200 sessions. We offer discounts for full payment at the start of treatment. QEEG:

QEEG stands for Quantitative Electroencephalogram. This process is otherwise known as a functional “brainmap” and is done prior to neurofeedback to assess level of functioning within the brain (i.e., where there is under or over-arousal, to what extent, and in what frequencies). Recorded from 19-channels (19-different sites on the scalp), the resulting EEG data is computer processed to provide a statistical and pictorial analysis of brain electrical activity. During analysis, the raw EEG data is compared to multiple normative databases which allows for a precise determination of whether brain functioning falls within a "normal" pattern for a persons age, sex and handedness, or whether there is some other type of functioning which might need clinical attention. This process also aids in the determination of neurofeedback protocols and training which is the procedure used to help correct for abnormal brain functioning that may be present in the QEEG.

QEEG (Quantitative EEG)
A QEEG is recommended for all Neurofeedback clients. The results of the QEEG allows us to specifically identify and address unusual or problematic patterns of brain function by comparing the eeg patterns of the individual brain to a normative database. Clients will receive a full report including Brain Maps and LORETA analysis of subcortical activity. At the clinician’s discretion, some clients may receive treatment without the QEEG.

A second QEEG at the conclusion of treatment to verify changes in patterns of brain activity is recommended but not required. The second QEEG will receive a 50% discount on the second test.
